AMOVET is a white to off-white free-flowing powder containing Amoxicillin trihydrate. Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum semi- synthetic penicillin (aminopenicillins) with bactericidal activity against Gram-positive pathogens as well as Gram-negative aerobes (e.g. E.coli, Proteus spp., Haemophillus spp.). It is used for the treatment of susceptible infections in many species of animals. Amoxicillin is known to be acid-stable, but not penicillinase-stable.
